British Telecom Implements RateIntegration's PriceMaker 5.1 Rating Software to Creat New Revenue Streams for 118 Directory Services in the UK UK based British Telecom implements RateIntegration's PriceMaker 5.1 rating software to manage the complex wholesale interconnect rating and settlement requirements between BT and new directory service providers in the UK. Cannes, France (PRWEB) February 27, 2004 - RateIntegration, Inc., today announced the growth of its existing business with BT Wholesale following the selection and implementation of PriceMaker 5.1 to manage the complex wholesale interconnect rating and settlement requirements between BT and new directory service providers in the UK. Recently, Oftel, the UK telecommunications industry regulator, open up the traditional directory services market to competition. As a result, a new range of six-digit directory numbers is now being utilized to allow BT, along with other competitive service providers, to offer on demand directory services. To support this change, BT Wholesale is using PriceMaker 5.1 to calculate the revenues due from other directory service providers when directory calls are interconnect between the networks. We have been using RateIntegrations PriceMaker 5.1 to meet the complex rating and settlement requirements at BT Wholesale services for over 18 months now, said Julian Wisniewski, Manager Wholesale Billing Systems, BT Wholesale CIO Office. Our decision to implement PriceMaker 5.1 avoided costly bespoke development work to support Oftels recent directory service change and continues to help us support new revenue and settlement streams as well as deliver considerable cost savings for our business. PriceMaker was designed to support the complex and ever changing requirements of the telecommunications industry, said Thomas Thekkethala, CEO of RateIntegration. Our ability to rapidly support this regulatory change for 118 Directory Services builds upon the strong working relationship between BT and RateIntegration.
