TransNexus and Post Increment Partner to Add Support for ETSI Open Settlement Protocol to Open H323 Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document. TransNexus, Inc. and Post Increment have partnered to add support for the Open Settlement Protocol (OSP) to OpenH323 project. OSP is the ETSI TS 101321 standard (www.etsi.org) for inter-domain pricing, authorization and usage exchange. Atlanta, GA (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) February 1, 2005 -- TransNexus, Inc. and Post Increment have partnered to add support for the Open Settlement Protocol (OSP) to OpenH323 project. OSP is the ETSI TS 101321 standard (www.etsi.org) for inter-domain pricing, authorization and usage exchange. The OSP Toolkit may now be built with the OpenH323 stack to enable secure inter-domain routing, access control and call detail reporting. We see a growing demand for secure multi-lateral peering and OSP is a good solution based on production proven open source code and global standards. This new feature extends OSP support to all applications based on OpenH323, said Craig Southeren, the founder of Post Increment and primary developer of OpenH323. Historically interconnection between H.323 networks has been managed through gatekeeper to gatekeeper Location Requests (LRQs) which are neither secure nor well suited for collecting call detail records for settlement billing. OSP provides a simple and highly scalable solution for securely authorizing inter-domain access and collecting reliable, fraud-proof call detail records for inter-carrier settlement billing. OpenH323 is the worlds leading open source implementation of the H.323 protocol. Dozens of service providers and product companies have based their H.323 implementations on OpenH323. Information on OpenH323, a white paper describing the OSP support integrated into the OpenH323 stack and sample programs are available at www.voxgratia.org. The API functions in OpenH323 that provide an interface to the OSP Toolkit are also described. The OSP Toolkit is available from www.sipfoundry.com.
